Edit Panasonic DVCPRO HD P2 MXF in FCP on Mac Alerter l'administrateur Recommander à un ami Lien de l'article

"I just shot a movie with DVCPRO HD P2 camera, everything was filmed on P2 cards in 1080-50i (AVC I 50/50i). The program itself was a single shot of just over 65 minutes, while on the P2 card it was broke down in separate files, six files of 10 minutes and 9 seconds (4,27 Gb) and one file with the final couple of minutes (about 1 Gb). How do I get these files in to one single file and edit it in FCP?"

Panasonic's DVCPRO P2 camcorder produced mutually incompatible files due to opaque sub format options obscured behind the MXF file extension. Without advanced tools, it was impossible to distinguish these incompatible formats.

Panasonic P2 HD series: AJ-HPX3700, AJ-HPX2700, AJ-HPX3100, AJ-HPX2100, AJ-HPX2000, AG-3DP1, AG-HPX500 series, AG-HPX370 series, AG-HPX250, AG-HVX170.

Due to file structure of the P2 card, Panasonic will separate videos for every 10~12 minutes, so you may got many spanned files on the card; to lossless merge them into one files, there's an easy way to do this which you will find it yourself after reading this guide.
